Testimony By Mancy Flora

This is my personal experience (Testimony) & thro’ the Inspiration of the Spirit of God.
Firstly, I want to start from the scrip. Jh. 3 vs. 16
God loved the World so much that He gave His only son for us so that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. As He gave His only Son, He also gave us our parents to love us and show us the way to Him in the form of humankind so that His children are not lost.
The parents gives their life for their children till they are old enough, even thou they are weak to help them, but, still their hearts will be always for their children when they are in need of their parents and THAT’S THE LOVE OF PARENTS TOWARDS THEIR CHILDREN. In the same way, God loves us and always ready to take us in His Arms when we call upon Him and seek for Him. ( Pslm 124 : If it had not been the Lord who was on our side when men rose up against us, then, they would have swallowed us alive when their wrath was kindled against us; Then the waters would have overwhelmed us, the stream & swollen waters would have gone over our soul. Blessed be the Lord, who has not given us as prey to their teeth. Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the lord, who made heaven and earth). Meditate on this pslm and decide today in your heart to thank & glorify God at all times.
So then, is it not our duty to love God? Now the question comes, how do we love God? Easy, by obeying his commands, accepting His Word and applying in our life by action, however & whatever we can, according to our talents? It is said in the scrip. (Mt.9..37) “The Harvest is more and the Labourers are less”, so why not, we start serving him and be the labourer in His Harvest? We can be the labourer, by our words, deeds & action according to the talents God has given you. There is nothing which edifies others so much as charity and kindness, by which, as by the oil in our lamp, the flame of good example is kept alive (Mt.25..31 to 46).
First of all, we need to meet Jesus in our prayer. After meeting him in prayer, have to meet him in the suffering people by opening the door of our hearts when he knocks and asks: ‘Will you not share in my redemptive work?’ He offered his life on the cross for the redemption of the world. He invites us to share in his work of being with people and among the people, to grow in the love of God.
He suffered for us so much though he was not a sinner. For whom he suffered, Is it not for you and me? Then, whom you are waiting for & for what? Jesus did not say to His Father; Father, wait for sometime or give me some time. He said, let your will be done ( Scrip. Mt.26..39&42). It is His Love & Mercy for the whole Universe, to redeem us from the Sin and the Sinful lust that is within us. So, My dear brothers & sisters, as one body in Christ, let us resist the Sin and Stand for God to His righteousness and he will be with us in all circumstances Act 10..35, psalm: 34..15, 103:..17, 145…18 (The Lord is near to all those who call upon him). Let us embrace God by serving him, however and whatever little we can do; by saying “Yes to Him and No to Sin” (Mk:1..15) by this we will demonstrate our love to GOD (Lk 6:47..49) “Whoever comes to me and hears My sayings and does them. I will show you whom he is like……”. Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Gal. 5...16)
For everything give him thanks (Scrip.Eph.5..20, Heb.13..15, Pslm 50: 14, 1 Cor.15..57)
Always, Thank and Praise God, each and every moment of your life, for the good and the bad, accept things as they are, as accepted by God.
What happens to you when a child says to you, mom & dad I love you and kiss you. How you feel? In the same way, God feels the same when we thank and praise him. Are we not going to our parent, if we want any thing; are we not sharing with them of our needs (ups and downs)? Sharing means, making them our friends. We share our life when we are close and it our duty because they are the only hope of our life. In the same way, let us make our God our parent and friend and go to him and I am sure, He will listen to you and hear your prayers. Prayers are the only answer for our problems. (Scrip. Lk 20..36 )
He did not run away from the suffering that he has to suffer, but, he suffered for you and me. If he would have not suffered then we would not be saved. Sufferings bring the fragrance & beauty to our life. (Scrip Rom 2..4) Do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance and long sufferings, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? And always remember, God will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape that you may be able to bear (1Pt.2..20) If you do good and suffer patiently is commendable before God.
I remember, one day, old lady whom I met in the church, she is to come everyday for morning mass and is to sit in the Blessed Sacrament after the mass. One day while talking to me, I told her, go and talk to Jesus face to face as if you are talking to your friend eye to eye and told her, Jesus is waiting for you and she surprisingly asked me ah… where. I laughed at her and said; He is waiting you in the Blessed Sacrament, go and talk. This is how; we don’t trust and have no faith. He is the living God, He is in the Holy mass, In the Blessed Sacrament, and He is in you and me, (Scrip 1 Cor.3…16, Jn 14:17..18) Why don’t you believe? He is helping you through a humankind, we don’t understand, may be thro’ your family, friend or unknown person.
Another incident I remember, one day while I was standing near the railway track, one young unknown person came running and said. Hey, hut za, marneco aiya kya? I started thinking, why he said, but not knowingly and to respect his word, I went little further and when I stood; one old man said, betti, toda pichea ai (daughter, come little at the back) then again I started thinking and again to respect him I went little further. The train was in halt & when the train started, I realized that, I was standing near the track. They were Angels for me; otherwise I would have met with an accident. His Angels are guiding & guarding us. (Scrip on angels….)
My dear people, we do not understand the helping hand that we get from our brothers and sisters. So pray and be close to Him. When we pray, we are talking to him of all our problems, sharing with him. He is our Father, if you don’t talk to him then whom you will talk? Nobody is yours, when bad time comes, neither, your near or dear ones. If you have something, all will show you respect and if nothing is with you, everybody will try to run away from you. So make God everything, a center of peace. He is a mighty Healer & Saviour. He is there always with us if you resist the sin and walk righteously.
Another incident I remember, One day during the retreat, I was crying and crying due to some problems in family matters. At that time, I heard God through a (scrip Jer 29: 11..14) I have a plan for you, plan for your good and not for disaster then you will come and pray to me and I will answer you. To tell you the truth, from that day onward I stopped crying. Even if I feel like crying, I use to remember His Words and the tears is to dry in my eyes.
Look forward in fear to the changes in life; rather, look to them with full hope that as they arise, God, whose very own you are, will lead you safely through all things; and when you cannot stand it, God will carry you in His Arms.
Do not fear what may happen tomorrow; the same understanding Father who cares for you today will take care of you then and every day.
He will either shield you from suffering or will give you unfailing strength to bear it. Be at peace, and put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations.
He is our comforter, counselor, helper, a mighty healer, redeemer & everything ………etc.
This teaching is not of the flesh but the inspiration of the Spirit of God.

A Christian- Mancy Flora

Mathew 4: 12..23 Jesus calls - to each of us to be the followers of Christ. Begins not with what he knows, but with what we know. It begins not with what he does best, but with what we do best."
Now, the reading for this Sunday is the Gospel is where Jesus is calling his disciples for the first time. He says to them,
“Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Being a Christian is to follow Christ, no matter what.:
We follow Him through prayer, fasting, having the right priorities. Not just on Sunday but every day. To follow Christ means, not to be like the world.
Investigate yourself. See how much you’re like the world. To the extent you are, to that extent you’re not a Christian. We all struggle with various weaknesses. I’m talking about the way you live your life. If you go day-by-day-by-day and hardly ever pray, can you say you’re a Christian? If you go day-by-day-by-day and rarely go to church, if you go day-by-day-by-day and really don’t think of spiritual things, are you following Christ?
When you wake up in the morning, your first priority, really the only priority you should have that day, is to be a better Christian, to learn something of God and to do it. It should be all that matters. It doesn’t matter about the meeting you have that morning or about the potential for profit in this or that or that you’re tired or that you’re busy or anything else. None of it matters, because it’s all going to go away.
The only thing that’s going to stay is the person you become. That’s it. Nothing else matters. All that matters is who you become. The world doesn’t know that, but the Christians do. So to follow Christ means to not be like the world.

The Rich Man- Mancy Flora

St. Luke 16:19-31: We have here a story of two men whose states, both in this life and in the next, are dramatically opposed. The rich man had everything a man could desire on this earth and he set his heart on wealth, to such a degree that, he excluded all thought of God or of what followed after death. Abraham tells him, why he is in eternal torment: He abused his time on earth. He knows that, he has no one to blame but himself. Likewise, we openly profess to be Christians and recite so often the words of the Creed: "I believe in the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come." Yet, we are so busy trying to get the wealth and the pleasures of this life, or to increase. We have no time to spare for the thing that really matters like the rich man.
On the other half of the picture, we have a beggar. The beggar goes straight to heaven. Our life is also like Lazarus, one long continual struggle against poverty, disease and hardship —Let us pray to God, to give us the grace, to carry our crosses patiently with the love of God. The Lord, rewards great sevices with trials, for out of trials, springs love for God and envy of your neighbor and rebellion against God will only add to our pains.
